Rating Explanation
Lawrence Moore
While Lawrence Moore does not have a dedicated campaign website, there is more publicly available information about his candidacy than initially assumed. Moore serves as the
Deputy Mayor of Harrison Township and has been featured in several local news articles and press releases. He has made public statements regarding his priorities, including
controlling government spending, lowering taxes, and increasing school funding. This level of media engagement provides voters with a general sense of his political perspective,
even in the absence of direct outreach or a formal campaign platform.
However, he has not responded to our direct outreach, nor has he participated in our voter information initiative. He has made at least one brief public appearance at a local
Republican breakfast, which aligns with the general trend of accessibility seen among other Republican candidates in the area. Still, more proactive participation and centralized
voter information would improve clarity and ease of access for constituents.
Note: While this is technically still the primary phase, both parties are running unopposed slates, meaning all four current candidates are expected to advance to the general election.
This creates a valuable opportunity for candidates to begin clearly communicating their platforms early, giving voters more time to learn and engage. We encourage all candidates to take
advantage of this head start by providing accessible, detailed information about their agendas and priorities.
For these reasons, Konawell receives a low rating for transparency and accessibility.
